Global Health for the 21st Century: Interdisciplinary Research and Training at the Claremont Colleges

Location: Burkle Building, Room 16, Drucker School of Management

Format:

  • Invited presentations (confirmed speaker list to follow)
  • Discussion groups for faculty and students
    (sign up at registration on day of symposium)

The symposium will provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of ongoing global health research and training activities across the colleges and provide an opportunity for discussion leading to cross-college collaborations to generate future solutions to improve health and well-being for communities worldwide.

Specific objectives:

  • Present trends and emerging issues associated with economic transition and lifestyle
  • Share recent findings in prevention research and practice
  • Inform public health practice
  • Present innovative models of training
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary cross-college collaborations
